Hunters emerged with the support of their Sponsors, and among these Hunters, twelve exceptional individuals declared themselves gods, establishing the realm of Eden. Eden soon came to “dominate the world.” That was the era in which I, Lee JoonGyung, lived. I was an ordinary person in a world ruled by Hunters, leading a life akin to that of domesticated cattle. The only possession I held was a singular book—a tome that chronicled the tale of the forgotten yet true hero, the Demon King.

One fateful day, Athena, one of the Twelve Sovereigns, appeared before me, and I… “Is this over 100 years in the past? The age when Hunters first emerged?” … found myself plunged into the past. The former Sponsor of the Demon King took me under their wing, and I began to tread a path reminiscent of the Demon King’s. “I refuse to become like the Demon King.” Yet I aspire to forge a brighter future, one that surpasses even his legacy.
